VALENTINE, Neb. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF capped off their second tournament of the season finishing in second place at the Jackrabbit Invitational after shooting a 54-hole total of 856(-8).
Kyler Tate was the highest finisher for the Knights finishing second overall after shooting a 75 for day three. He finished six-under par with a 210 total and 17 total birdies.
Pedro Lencart Silva was not far behind Tate, finishing tied for fourth after shooting a three-day total of 213(-3). The freshman wrapped up his second collegiate tournament with nine total birdies and an eagle.
Jalen Ledger put up a 75 for his final round to finish tied for 10th place, while Clement Charmasson was on Ledger’s heels with a 73 for day three and ends the Jackrabbit tied for 14th.
Sophomore Tommy Cao finished three-over par on day three for a 220 total and tied for 20th overall.
Colin Kresl finished with and 232 in total after shooting his best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a 76.
Over the three days, the Knights racked up 44 birdies, three eagles, and led the field in total pars with 178. Tate, Lencart Silva, and Ledger led all players in average par four scores helping the Knights acquire the best par four average of all teams with a 3.99.
UCF beat out 11 other teams including Missouri, Idaho, and American Athletic Conference opponent, Wichita State.
