UCF Remains in First After Two

VALENTINE, Neb. (UCFKnights.com) – After two rounds at the Jackrabbit Invitational, the UCF men’s golf team remains in first after shooting eight-under Monday bringing them to a 561(-15) total heading into the final round on Tuesday.

Kyler Tate leads all golfers after posting a 67 in round two and enters the final round nine shots under par. Tate compiled six birdies on the afternoon and is seven-under on par fours while he holds a two-shot lead.

Jalen Ledger and Pedro Lencart Silva sit tied for fourth with one another as they continue to be key players for the Knights. Ledger posted a 70 on Monday tallying two birdies and an eagle on the 15th hole.

Lencart Silva finished one-under par in the second round and mirrored Ledger with a pair of birdies and included an eagle on the sixth hole.

Tied for 12th is both Tommy Cao and Clement Charmasson each with a score of 145(+1) through two rounds.

Colin Kresl, competing as an individual, finished the day with a 79.

After Cao, Lencart Silva, and Ledger’s eagles through two rounds, UCF has racked up the most eagles. The Knights also continue to dominate the course stats and lead all teams in total pars with 121.

As a team, UCF is the only team at the Jackrabbit Invitational who has scored under par for all par four holes. The Knights in total are six-under with Kansas being second and five-over.

The final round gets underway Tuesday morning.
