Knights Announce 2018-19 Schedule

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The four-time defending American Athletic Conference champion UCF rowing team will open its 2018-19 campaign this weekend. The Knights announced their full 2018-19 racing schedule on Thursday.

On the agenda for the fall, UCF will race at the Head of the Oklahoma on Sept. 29-30. The Knights will then host Nova Southeastern for a scrimmage on Lake Pickett on Oct. 6.

Following the Princeton Chase on Oct. 28, UCF will host the Black and Gold Classic on Nov. 19 and will compete at the Stetson Fall Rendezvous on Nov. 17.

Tennessee and Louisville will make the trip to Orlando for a two-day scrimmage on Lake Pickett Feb. 23-24 before the spring slate officially opens.

Making its 22nd consecutive appearance, UCF opens the spring on March 2 at the Metro Cup. The annual Winter Park event takes place on Lake Maitland.

The Knights host fellow American Athletic Conference squad UConn, along with Jacksonville, for a regatta on Lake Pickett March 22.  UCF will open April action in Sarasota for the Sunshine State Invite at Nathan Benderson Park on April 5-6.

The Knights will spend back-to-back weekends in the Carolinas, first competing at the Clemson Invite on April 18-20. UCF will then race at the Lake Wheeler Invite in North Carolina from April 25-27. The final race of the regular season will take place on Lake Pickett on April 28.

The strive for five will take place on May 19 as the Knights will look to defend their conference title at the American Athletic Conference Championship in Oklahoma City.

The 2018 NCAA Championships will take place in Indianapolis May 31-June 2.

The Knights clinched their fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference championship last spring, becoming one of just two women’s programs (UConn Women’s Basketball) to win four straight titles in The American. Just two weeks later, UCF posted its fourth straight Top 20 finish at the NCAA Championship in Sarasota.
