Fall Slate Opens Sunday Vs. Seminole State

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF baseball team will open its fall slate on Sunday afternoon with a 1 p.m. first pitch against Seminole State at John Euliano Park. Admission to the game is free, and there will be light concessions.

Head coach Greg Lovelady will have his first chance to watch his 38-man roster in full competition against another team. The Knights return 17 players from a squad that went 35-21 and narrowly missed out on an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Knights will square off with St. Leo at John Euliano Park on Oct. 12 and the Canadian Junior National Team on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

The NCAA passed legislation last spring that permitted teams to play two games during the fall against outside competition.
