ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton has played three games in 2018 and has now been named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week following two of them.
Milton earned the weekly honor from The American on Monday after leading the Knights to a 56-36 home win over FAU on Friday.
The junior went 21-of-32 for 306 yards and three touchdowns through the air. It marked the 10th 300-yard passing game of his career and it was the 17th straight game that he has thrown at least one touchdown pass.
Maybe even more impressive was what he did with his feet. Milton ran 13 times for 81 yards and another three scores. It was the first time he recorded multiple rushing touchdowns in a game and the second time that he was responsible for six total touchdowns.
This is the sixth career Player of the Week honor for Milton, who earned four throughout the 2017 season. He was also named one of eight Manning Award Stars of the Week for the second time on Monday.
Milton and the No. 13/14 Knights hit the field again on Saturday when UCF hosts Pittsburgh at 3:30 p.m. on ESPNU and FM 96.9/AM 740 The Game.
