Knoxville, Tenn. (UCFKnights.com) – With raining falling for most of the day, the UCF women’s golf team wraps up the first two rounds at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Championship at the par 71, 5,900-yard course at the Cherokee Country Club.

The Knights currently sit in 11th with a 608 total for the two rounds. In the morning, UCF shot 311 then shaved off 14 strokes in round two for a 297.

Leading the Knights are both Elizabeth Moon and Maria Balcazar each shooting two round totals of 151.

Anna Hack isn’t far behind recording a 36-hole total of 153, while Alyssa Lamoureux shot a 157. In her first tournament this year, Chinatsu Kobayashi is in line with Lamoureux with a 157.

In both rounds, UCF dominated the back nine after Hack birdied four holes and Lamoureux with a trio. Kobayashi added three birdies on the back nine for one-under before making the turn to the front.

UCF was consistent throughout the day grabbing 104 pars and 16 birdies.

The Knights will cap off the tournament with 18 holes Tuesday morning with an 8:30 a.m. tee time.
