ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – A two-goal week led UCF freshman Kristen Scott to American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors on Monday.
Scott helped UCF (3-3-1) to a 2-1 record last week, including a 3-0 victory over Florida and a 5-1 win at Stetson.
The Orlando native tallied the equalizer on a header for UCF’s lone goal against George Mason. She recorded UCF’s fourth marker against the Hatters to close out non-conference action.
Scott has started all seven matches of her collegiate career, accumulating three goals for six points. Her two goals last week came over 171 minutes of action.
Monday’s accolade marks the first Rookie of the Week for Scott, and the first for the Knights in 2018.
