ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The road trip continues for the UCF men’s soccer team as they head to Stetson to face the Hatters on Saturday at 7 p.m. The match will be streamed live via Hatter Vision and live stats will also be available.

The 4-1-1 Knights are coming off a crucial win at FIU netting three goals, while racking up 10 points. Cal Jennings scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season, while Zachary Waitman picked up his first in the victory.

THE OPPONENT

  • The Knights’ series record against Stetson is 32-10-3.
  • In last season’s meeting, UCF shutout the Hatters, 4-0 at the UCF Soccer Complex. Jennings recorded two goals in the win, while Ricardo Oliveros added a goal.
  • Yannik Oettl received the start in the 2017 battle registering seven saves.
  • This season, the Hatters are 2-1-1 overall and winless at home.
  • Stetson is coming off a 3-3 tie with Liberty. The Flames scored twice in the final five minutes.

  • Jennings is grabbing national attention as one of the top forwards in the country. He is currently ranked first in shots per game, third in game winning goals, fourth in total goals with six, and fifth in total points with 14 over five games played.
  • Oettl grabbed his first career assist in the win over FIU after he sent a perfect ball to Jennings three quarters of the way down the field who took it in for the Knights’ third goal.
  • UCF is unbeaten in their last four matches and sit alone in first place in the American Athletic Conference.
  • Since it’s home opener last season, UCF is 11-2-2.
  • In The American, The Knights are first in total points, total goals, total assists, shots and shots on goal per game, scoring offense, points per game, corner kicks per game, and assists per game.
  • Of the Knights’ 12 goals this season, five have been scored by a senior.
  • Head coach Scott Calabrese is sitting at 97 wins as a head coach.
