American entrepreneur, author, and speaker Jim Rohn once said, “All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.” UCF Athletics would not be poised for success were it not for the legacy its former student-athletes established. To keep their legacies intact, the newly-revamped Varsity Knights initiative has been launched.
Assistant AD Kevin Wilson and Morgan Woodruff , both representing UCF's Championship Resources unit, will lead the charge to unite, champion and foster a culture where all UCF Letterwinners feel welcome. The Varsity Knights will serve as UCF Athletics’ only official letterwinner’s organization. A Varsity Knight will be defined as any individual who attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) and dressed for at least 30% of your team’s competition in a single season.
Membership will be divided into two (2) categories: Black and Gold.
Black Varsity Knight membership is free and comes with the following benefits:
- E-newsletter
- Program updates
- Opportunity to purchase exclusive Varsity Knight merchandise
- Invitation to select UCF Athletics/Varsity Knight events
- Opportunity to purchase access to UCF Athletics/Varsity Knight events
- Opportunity to purchase access to the Varsity Knights’ Club Room at Spectrum Stadium during each home football game with one guest (must be immediate family member).
A Gold Varsity Knight contributes $120 annually to the Varsity Knights in support of UCF Athletics and the Varsity Knights program. In return, Gold Varsity Knights enjoy the following benefits:
- E-newsletter
- Program updates
- Complimentary Varsity Knights polo (with sport identification)
- Discount for FB/MBB season tickets and exclusive Varsity Knight merchandise
- Entry for you and a guest to select Varsity Knight events
- Access to the Varsity Knights’ Club Room at Spectrum Stadium during each home football game with one guest (must be immediate family member).
This web page on UCFKnights.com will keep Varsity Knights and the public informed and facilitate genuine networking opportunities. UCF Athletics is confident this initiative will deepen former student-athletes' connection with fellow Varsity Knights, current Knights, UCF Athletics and the university as a whole. We plan to create one of the largest student-athlete networks in the country. At UCF, we firmly believe “Once a Knight, Always a Knight!”
