ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Following its opening weekend tournament at the 51st Annual Southern Intercollegiate Championships, UCF men’s tennis team freshman Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi was tabbed as the No. 3 freshman/newcomer in the ORACLE/ITA Preseason Ranking.
Mazzuchi, a Argentinian international, was ranked in the top-15 in the ITF Junior world rankings last year, reaching No. 13 in May of 2017. The rookie reached the quarterfinals or semifinals of four ITF Futures events. He also competed in the 2017 Roland Garros Junior French Championships, The Junior Championships at Wimbledon, and the US Open Junior Tennis Championships.
He was a part of the four-man signing class in 2018 that was ranked No. 8 in the nation by the Tennis Recruiting Network.
