Oettl Earns Goalkeeper of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF men’s soccer has been awarded another Player of the Week honor as Yannik Oettl has been named this week’s Goalkeeper of the Week by the American Athletic Conference.

Oettl recorded his first shutout of the season against West Virginia in the 1-0 win. He tallied three saves, playing the full game for the fifth consecutive match. Oettl and the defense allowed just five total shots all game.

The Munich, Germany native is among the top 35 in the country for goalie minutes. He has recorded 475 minutes already this season.

Thus far, Oettl has started all five games for the Knights tallying 11 saves with a 3-1-1 record.

This is Oettl’s first Goalkeeper of the Week honors in his young collegiate career.
