CHARLESTON, S.C. (UCFKnights.com) – The second and final round of the Cougar Classic came to a close Monday evening as the Knights finished tied for 11th with a total score of 584 (+8).
The tournament was shortened to two rounds due to weather in the area.
Round two mirrored round one as UCF shot another round of 292.
The Knights were led by newcomer Elizabeth Moon, who shot 69(-3) on Monday tallying four birdies, three of which were on the front nine. Moon wrapped up the tournament with a 36-hole score of 143, one-under par to finish tied for 24th.
Finishing tied for 32nd was Maria Balcazar, who had another strong day to start the season. Balcazar recorded a day two score of 74 for a 145 total, just one over par.
Just behind Balcazar was freshman Alyssa Lamoureux registering a score of 146 in her first collegiate tournament.
Senior Anna Hack rounded out the day with another 75 for a 150 total, while fellow senior Nicolette Donovan also shot a 75 to finish with 151.
UCF finished with the most pars in the tournament tallying 123, while also recording 22 birdies. As a team, the Black and Gold dominated par fives with an average score of 4.83 per par five.
The Knights beat out eight other teams including Penn State, Maryland, Indiana, and LSU.

The Knights are back in action Sept. 17-18, at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Championship in Knoxville, Tenn.
