Schedule Announced for Fall Season

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men’s tennis team announced its fall competition schedule this week. The Knights will feature in 11 tournaments this fall, including four events sanctioned by the ITA.


The Knights will open up their fall slate by traveling to Athens, Ga., to compete in the Southern Intercollegiates on Thursday, Sept. 6.

The Black and Gold will return home to Orlando on Friday, Sept. 28 to compete in the Bedford Cup hosted at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona. Last year, Mikhail Sokolovskiy and Vasyl Kiselyov reached the finals of both singles flights.

UCF Director of Tennis John Roddick will take the team up to Tulsa, Okla. on Sept. 30 to compete in the ITA Men's All-American Championships.

During the month of October, the Black and Gold will compete in three Futures events in Texas, and one Futures event in Alabama. Starting Oct. 16, the Knights will head to the ITA Regionals in Athens, Ga. Sokolovskiy reached the quarterfinals of the singles main draw in the 2017 edition.

Heading on into November, the Knights will play in three more Futures events (F20 in Niceville, Fla., F31 in Norman, Okla., and F32 in Pensacola, Fla.).
