ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s tennis team will head out for nine competitions throughout the fall to prepare for the dual season. The Knights will split their tournaments between four professional events and five collegiate competitions.
UCF will start their fall tournament season on Sept. 22 at the ITF $15,000 Hilton Head S.C. Head coach Bryan Koniecko will send players to a pair of ITF $25,000 tournaments in Charleston, S.C., and Florence, S.C. on Sept. 29 and Oct. 13, respectively.
The Black and Gold will return to the ITA Regionals on Oct. 18 in Atlanta, where Monica Matias and Ksenia Kuznetsova made it to the round of 16 last year. The Knights will continue at FGCU Fall invite tournament at Fort Myers on Oct. 26.
On Nov. 2, the Knights will head back to the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic in Bradenton, where UCF finished first and second in doubles event last year, and Matias made it to the singles finals, where she brought home the runner-up trophy. UCF will then compete at the FSU Invite on Nov. 9.
Koniecko added the LSU Hidden Dual tournament in Baton Rouge, starting Nov. 9. The fall season will come to a close, as the Knights compete at the ITF $25000 Norman, Okla., on Nov. 10.
