Shareholders Society Introduced

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – UCF Athletics has announced the addition of the Shareholders Society, which is a new major gifts program. The Shareholders Society is part of UCF Athletics’ Championship Resources unit, which is the fund-raising arm of the athletic department.

A minimum pledge of $25,000 over a five-year period ($5,000 per year) or more qualifies one as a Shareholders Society member. In addition to the Shareholders Society, the Knights have also launched the ChargeOn Fund for annual recurring gifts of less than $5,000 per year.

"We’ve experienced a great deal of success in fund-raising over the last two years," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Danny White. "The Shareholders Society and the ChargeOn Fund are philanthropic giving programs and recognition platforms that will yield critical resources for our athletics program. These funds will help enhance the student-athlete experience, while also positioning our teams for even more competitive success."

The Championship Resources unit’s goal is to increase philanthropic revenues for UCF Athletics, supporting operational needs and capital priorities. The Shareholders Society will also help prepare Knights student-athletes for continued success in the classroom, in competition, and in the community.

In recognition of generous support of UCF Athletics, Shareholders Society members will be appropriately stewarded with exclusive, unique engagement opportunities at each level of recognition.

Commitments of $25,000 or more to the Shareholders Society can be designated to any of the following athletic priorities:

• Capital/Facility Projects
• Sport-Specific Excellence Funds
• Dr. John and Martha Hitt Athletic Scholarship Fund
• Athletics Director’s Fund

Meanwhile, the ChargeOn Fund is a significant part of UCF’s promising future through the aggregate potential of its vast and growing alumni base. In order to realize this potential over the next decade, the ChargeOn Fund was created to encourage charitable support of UCF Athletics from $10 to $4,999 annually for:

• Sport-Specific Excellence Funds
• Dr. John and Martha Hitt Athletic Scholarship Fund
• Athletic Director’s Fund
• Annual giving beyond per seat donation requirement (enhanced parking)
