ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s golf team and head coach Bryce Wallor have announced the 2018-19 schedule featuring nine regular season tournaments and the American Athletic Conference tournament.
“We are so excited to announce our 2018/2019 tournament schedule,”said Wallor. “We feel that our players will be challenged with some of the best competition and tournament venues that college golf has to offer.”
In the fall months, the Knights will compete in four tournaments which include defending their title at the Hartford Hawk Invitational in South Kent, Conn from September 17-18. Last year, Juuso Kahlos and Kyler Tate finished in the top two spots to help the Knights to first place after finishing 28 under during the 54-hole tournament.
UCF will also host its annual Tavistock Collegiate Invitational from October 21-23 in Windermere for one of the top tournaments in the country in collegiate golf.
During the spring, the Knights will compete in four tournaments in the state of Florida, while also making trips to Las Vegas for the Southern Highlands Collegiate (March 3-5) and to Augusta, Ga., for the annual 3M Augusta Invitational (April 6-7) before postseason play begins.
“Our program will compete again this season around the nation in preparation for all the nuances that the NCAA Regional qualifying process can present to a program with the hope of returning to the NCAA National Championship for the third consecutive year,” added Wallor.
The Black and Gold will stay in the Sunshine State for The American Conference Championship in Palm Harbor from April 21-23.
