ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF Knights head into their final exhibition match Saturday at 6 p.m. with FAU in Boca Raton.
The Knights are 22-8-3 overall with the Owls after shutting out FAU last season, 3-0. Cal Jennings was a force to be reckoned with as he netted a pair of goals in the win.
In last week’s exhibition, UCF took down Eastern Florida, 4-1, after an impressive showing in their first outing of the season.
26 Knights saw action in the contest including all three keepers on the depth chart.
The Knights are coming off an 8-6-2 season after finishing second in conference play in both the regular season and The American tournament. The 2018 squad returns 20 Knights including all-conference honorees, Cal Jennings, Yoni Sorokin, Andreas Steineger, Hattabiou Barry, and Louis Perez.
UCF added four defensemen, two midfielders, and a keeper to be ready to compete for the 2018 campaign.
The Black and Gold open regular season play on the road against Penn State and Aug. 24. The Knights will host UC Irvine in their home opener on Monday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.
