Opens in a new window Becky Cramer Bio

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After leading her squad to its fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference title, head rowing coach Becky Cramer has signed a contract extension that will keep her at UCF through June 2023.

"We are very fortunate to have Becky Cramer leading our rowing program," UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Daniel J. White said. "Her vision and success gives us great confidence that we can continue building a national power here at UCF. I couldn't be more excited about the future of UCF Rowing under Becky's leadership."

On May 12, 2018, Cramer led the Knights to their fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference championship. UCF became just the second women's program in The American, joining UConn Women's Basketball, to win four straight titles in the five-year history of the league.

Just two weeks later, UCF posted its fourth straight Top 20 NCAA finish. The Varsity Eight tied its best showing in program history, finishing 18th in the nation at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota on May 26.

A four-time American Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year, Cramer guided Julie Poulsen to Pocock Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2018.

"I love UCF, and I am extremely grateful to Danny White and David Hansen for the opportunity to continue working with our amazing student-athletes to build on their success," Cramer said. "I am humbled to work with the great coaches, administration and leadership, both at UCF and in our Athletic Department, and am excited about our future."

Cramer joined the Knights in 2003 as an assistant coach of the staff and served as interim head coach for the 2008 campaign before taking the role full time in June of that year.

After guiding the program to its first conference title in 2015, Cramer followed with a second 2016 and led her squad to a clean sweep in 2017. She has led the Knights to NCAA Championship bids in each of the last four seasons.
