Top 10 Moments – The first two years under head coach Johnny Dawkins have included a number of great moments for UCF Men's Basketball. With a highly anticipated third season coming up in 2018-19, we're counting down the Top 10 Moments in the Johnny Dawkins era so far.

#3 – EARNING FIRST TRUE ROAD WIN IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The UCF men's basketball program has won five games over nationally ranked opponents. Never before the 2017-18 season, however, had the Knights won a true road game over a team ranked in the Top 25.

On Dec. 3, UCF traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to take on No. 24 Alabama. Coached by Avery Johnson, the Crimson Tide were home to future eighth overall pick in the NBA Draft Collin Sexton.

Alabama eventually went on to play in the NCAA Tournament, advance to the Second Round, and ultimately fall to the National Champion Villanova Wildcats.

But on that night in Coleman Coliseum, it was UCF's moment.

Subbing in for the injured B.J. Taylor, sophomore point guard led the way for UCF. Going head-to-head with a future lottery pick, Allen finished the night with 16 points, eight assists and four steals.

Sexton, meanwhile, totaled just seven points on 0-of-4 shooting from the field. Knights' forward A.J. Davis took the job of blanketing the now Cleveland Cavalier all night, only allowing seven free throws to Sexton.

Djordjije Mumin and Dayon Griffin chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively, knocking down a combined five three-pointers in the victory.
