Laura Smith - Volleyball (1977-79) - Class of 1999
Laura Smith played from 1977-79 and was a two-time All-American for the Knights. UCF won 165 of 176 matches in her three seasons as a player, including a 55-0 mark and the AIAW Small College National Championship in 1978.
Smith returned to her alma mater as the volleyball coach, from 1991-97, leading the team to a 188-74 record and six consecutive Trans America Athletic Conference (now Atlantic Sun) titles.
The Knights advanced to post-season play five times during her tenure and won 65 consecutive matches against conference opponents.
