2018 Preview - The football season is just around the corner. Leading into camp, fans will have an opportunity to get a look at what the Knights will have in store for the 2018 campaign with position-by-position previews. Watch highlights of returners and read up on what to expect this fall.

WIDE RECEIVERS
Despite losing Tre'Quan Smith to the NFL Draft after his junior season, the Knights have an embarrassment of riches at the wide receiver position.

Dredrick Snelson is the top returning wideout for the Knights, after hauling in 46 balls for 695 yards and eight touchdowns. While Smith became known for making acrobatic catches, it was one of Snelson's TD grabs against Austin Peay that landed him on Randy Moss's "You Got Moss'd" feature on ESPN.

Otis Anderson, who lined up in the backfield as often as he lined up at the receiver position last year, is also included in this group. He caught 30 passes for 351 yards and three scores last season, while also finishing as the team's third-leading rusher.

As a true freshman in 2017, all Gabriel Davis did was walk in and take a starting job from Day One. He also produced, catching 27 aerials for 391 yards and four scores, including an 80-yarder at SMU.

Marlon Williams, also a true freshman last year, played in all 13 games with 17 catches for 270 yards and 2 TDs.

Senior Cam Stewart has seen action in 34 games during his UCF career with 13 starts. Alex Harris caught six passes for 80 yards.

In addition to the returning talent, UCF added Ole Miss transfer Tre Nixon, who was the Florida Class 7A Player of the Year in 2015.

Jaquarius Bargnare, Tristan Payton and Western Kentucky transfer Jacob Harris could all play pivotal roles, as well.

TIGHT ENDS
Not one tight end on the UCF roster had ever caught a pass for the Knights on June 14. On June 15, that changed when Michael Colubiale was granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA.

After losing Jordan Akins and Jordan Franks to the NFL, Colubiale will give the Knights some experience.

Colubiale saw action in all 13 games last season, pulling in 10 receptions for 221 yards and a touchdown.

A trio of transfers and a pair of returners give the Knights plenty of options/depth at tight end.

Jake Hescock spent the 2017 season on the Knights' roster, but wasn't eligible to play after transferring from Wisconsin. The 6-7, 252-pounder had a very good spring and is expected to contribute.

Junior college transfers Brett Bell and Chris DeLoach are also going to get plenty of looks. Bell started his career at Kansas State, before heading to Hutchinson Community College last season. DeLoach comes to UCF from East Mississippi CC, where he made 11 catches for 113 yards and two scores last season.

The Knights do have one other experienced returner at tight end. Anthony Roberson is a redshirt sophomore who saw action in seven games last season.

Redshirt freshman Tyler Williams will also look to get in the mix at this position.

While he won't be eligible this season, Notre Dame transfer and local product Jonathon MacCollister will also likely be a productive member of this group in the future.
