ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's golf team heads to their final team event of the season as they compete in the NCAA National Championships at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla., starting on Friday, May 25.

The 29th - seeded Knights' first tee time is at 9:50 EDT and they will be paired with No. 28 Iowa State and No. 30 Augusta in the first wave of play.

Head coach Bryce Wallor has finalized the UCF lineup with Kyler Tate, Juuso Kahlos, Manuel Elvira, Bobby Bai, and Tommy Cao representing the Knights. This will be the second go-around in the National Championships for Tate, Kahlos, Elvira, and Bai after UCF's appearance in the finals last season.

Finals play consists of three days of stroke play on Friday, May 25 thru Sunday, May 27 (54 holes), after which the top 15 teams out of 30 and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. That is followed by a final day of 18 holes of stroke play on Monday, May 28 to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion.

The team national champion will be determined by a match-play format that will consist of quarterfinals and semifinals conducted on Tuesday, May 29, followed by finals on Wednesday, May 30.

This is UCF's second straight appearance in the National Championship, ninth overall, after they earned their berth last season when they won the Murfreesboro Regional.

At this year's Regional Championships in Kissimmee, the Knights put together a 54-hole score of 834 (-30), the second best in program history, to place second overall and punch their ticket to the finals. Three of the five Knights ended a round atop the leaderboard. Kahlos and Bai finished the first round tied for first with a 67 (-5), and Tate finished day two in first place after shooting a 65 (-7).
