UCF vs. Bama

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) - A date has been set for the contest between UCF and Alabama. The Knights and Crimson Tide men's basketball teams will do battle Nov. 29, 2018 at CFE Arena.

The matchup will be the back end of a home-and-home series that saw UCF defeat then no. 24 ranked Alabama 65-62 in Tuscaloosa last season. The win marked the Knights' first true road win over a ranked team in program history.

Last year, the Crimson Tide finished 20-16 overall. After falling to Kentucky in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament, Alabama advanced to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament, losing to eventual National Champion Villanova.

The Knights battled through injuries and recorded an overall mark of 19-13 last season, including wins over Nebraska, UConn, Memphis and Temple. UCF returns the majority of its core from 2017-18, including B.J. Taylor and Tacko Fall, and will add a number of new names, most notably Aubrey Dawkins.

The game vs. Alabama on Nov. 29 is the first non-tournament contest to be announced for UCF's 2018-19 campaign. Previously revealed, the Knights will compete in the inaugural Myrtle Beach Invitational Nov. 15-18.
