PENNSAUKEN, New Jersey (UCFKnights.com) – On Saturday morning, the three-time defending American Athletic Conference champion UCF looks to defend its title at the 2018 Rowing Championship at Cooper River Park.

The Knights, who captured the program's first title in 2015, begin their quest for a fourth consecutive championship at 8 a.m.

The American Digital Network will provide live coverage of the rowing championship. The championship central includes links to the schedule, venue information and the championship program. The American champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships on May 25-27 in Sarasota, Fla.

UCF collected the 2017 title in dominant fashion, sweeping all six events at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. Since joining The American prior to the 2014 season, the Knights have not finished lower than second in the team standings.

In its last two performances at The American Championship, UCF has taken home the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four titles in addition to the team title. Both the V8 and the 2V8 have won their events for the last three years, and have never finished lower than second in the finals in the history of the league.

The Black and Gold have been recognized by the league twice this season, with the Second Varsity Eight earning Boat of the Week honors a pair of times during the regular season.
