BROWNS SUMMIT, NC (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF women's golf team completed its final tuneup prior to the postseason Sunday. The Knights finished 12th at the Bryan National Collegiate, held at the Champions Course at Bryan National. UCF was 58 over par as a team. Wake Forest took the team title at 24 over.
Kaeli Jones led the way for the Knights, finishing in a tie for 21st. Jones opened with a 74 ( 2), followed up with a 75 ( 3) and closed with a 77 ( 5) to turn in a final tally of 10 over par. Only one golfer in the field, Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho (-1), was under par for the tournament. Chinatsu Kobayashi also turned in a solid finish for the Knights, placing in a tie for 32nd at ( 12). Full results for UCF individuals are listed below.
The Bryan National Collegiate was the last tournament for UCF before the Knights host the American Athletic Conference Championship Sunday-Tuesday (April 15-17). The Knights are the defending conference champions. This year's tournament will be held at the Hammock Beach Golf Club's Conservatory Course, the same course where the Knights were victorious last season.
