MEMPHIS, Tenn. (UCFKnights.com) - The No. 38 UCF men's tennis team dropped their final regular season road match Sunday. The Knights fell 4-0 to No. 17 Memphis from The Racquet Club of Memphis.

UCF (10-8, 1-1) fought out the gate in doubles versus one of the nation's top team in the Tigers (16-4, 3-0).

After dropping No. 3, the Black and Gold's stalwart at No. 1, Oracle/ITA Division I No. 10 ranked duo Korey Lovett and Eero Vasa sealed a win at No. 1 over No. 43 Ryan Peniston and Andrew Watson, 6-3.

The deciding match at No. 2 was a back-and-forth battle. Alan Rubio and Enrique Paya fought back to force a tiebreaker, but Kai Lemke and Felix Rauch ultimately persevered 7-6 (10-8).

Singles play began with a win by No. 110 nationally ranked singles player Andrew Watson taking down Gabriel Decamps at No. 2, 6-2, 6-4.

Shortly after, the Tigers second ranked player put Memphis up 3-0 with a win at No. 1. No. 47 Ryan Peniston beat Korey Lovett 7-5, 6-2.

The clincher for Memphis came at No. 6. Jan Pallares was too much for senior Danny Kerznerman, winning 7-5, 6-2.

UP NEXT
UCF returns home for their final regular season match April 15. The Knights will battle rival USF in a War-On-I4 match on College Matchday from the USTA National Campus at 5:30 p.m.
