ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF Director of Tennis John Roddick and women's tennis head coach Bryan Koniecko announced the dates for summer camp to be held at the UCF Tennis Complex. In partnership with Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camps, the weeklong camp will take place July 22-27.
Each camper receives personal attention, advanced teaching techniques, intensive drill work and game / match play, all in a fun and competitive environment.
Campers will break into small instructional groups of similar age and ability so each child is working in a group that is commensurate with their experience level. The camp is tailored to the level of the players. Beginners would get a heavier dose of swing technique and fundamentals, while more advanced players would have more focus on strategy, point building and percentage tennis etc.
There are three options for camp. The best and most comprehensive option is the overnight package, where a camper will check in on Sunday and stay on campus until Friday afternoon. All meals are covered during the week. The commuter option includes all tennis, meals (except breakfast) and social activities of the camp. The full day selection will cover tennis activities and include lunch.
Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camps are the premier camps for young players who strive to learn the game, improve their skills and/or participate in middle school, high school, USTA team tennis or tournaments.
