ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 22 UCF women's tennis team will play its final home match of the season Friday at the USTA National Campus, as they welcome No. 44 Rice for a 5 p.m. match.

The Knights (16-2, 4-0) will honor seniors Monica Matias, Emilia Granstrom, Maria Martinez and Nicole Jimenez pre-match before the team finishes up the season on the road with a pair of American Athletic Conference matchups.

The Black and Gold are coming off a commanding 4-1 win over rival USF on April 4 to extend UCF's overall lead in the War-On-I-4 series to 36-15. The victory was the Knights' tenth straight victory overall.

After capturing the doubles point versus the Bulls, singles victories were earned by Rebeka Stolmar, Martinez, and Natalia Serrano, who provided the clincher.

The reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week Stolmar leads the Knights with a 16-1 record this season in singles action.

UCF also boasts a duo in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I doubles rankings, with Maria Martinez and Ksenia Kuznetsova checking in at No. 72.

Rice (11-6, 0-0) comes to Orlando riding a five-match win streak, most recently taking down McNeese State 7-0 on April 3.

The Owls are led by nationally ranked singles player Wendy Zhang, who currently sits at No. 119 in the country. Zhang, along with Lindsey Hodge, also sit at No. 31 in the doubles rankings.
