ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team returns to action on Friday at the UNF Osprey Invitational in one final tune-up before the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship.
The one-day meet will begin at 10 a.m. at Hodges Stadium with the hammer throw, pole vault and long jump. The high jump, discus, triple jump and shot put are slated for 3 p.m. starts. Track events begin at 5:30 p.m. with the 4x100 relay.
The last time out, Gabby Durant headlined a strong performance at the War Eagle Invitational, setting the UCF hammer throw record at 200-6. Rosie Chamberlain collected her second 800-meter victory of the outdoor season, and the Knights turned in 12 personal best performances at the Hutsell-Rosen Track.
The Knights look to improve their marks at one last meet before heading to the 2018 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships May 11-13 in Cincinnati.
