• The Knights nearly overcame a pair of multi-run deficits, but the Black and Gold fell 5-4 to even the series.

• JJ Montgomery fell on the wrong side of some defensive miscues. He took the loss despite not allowing an earned run over 4 1/3 innings.
• Thad Ward struck out six in two appearances.
• The Black and Gold turned four double plays, including a season-high three against Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday.
