WICHITA, Kan. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF softball team was unable to grab a win in their first ever series against Wichita State Sunday afternoon as the Knights fell to the Shockers, 10-0.

The Shockers registered three home runs on the day as they scored in almost every inning against the Knights. Wichita State collected 11 hits in the series finale picking up two runs in the first inning for an early 2-0 lead and followed with five runs in the fifth and three more in the fourth.

Denali Schappacher, Erin Emanuel, and Brooke Barlow each grabbed a hit for UCF in the loss. For the series, Schappacher recorded three hits in six at-bats, while Cassady Brewer also delivered a trio of base hits. Brewer also drew a walk in the matchup on Sunday making it 16 straight games the junior has reached base.

Alea White dealt 2.1 innings giving up six earned runs and striking out four to take her 13th loss of the season moving her to 22-13 overall. The sophomore pitcher continues to be amongst the top pitchers in the conference and the nation in wins and shutouts (7).
