Spring Season Finished

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF volleyball team wrapped up its spring season on Friday night. The Knights took down Florida Southern, the 2018 Division II Runner-Up, by winning four out of five sets.

With the conclusion of spring action, the Black and Gold will have some time off before practice resumes on June 12. UCF will head to Puerto Rico for its international tour from June 23 to July 3.

"I was very pleased with the way we served as a team," head coach Todd Dagenais said. "Florida Southern ran the fastest offense we've seen all year, including the fall. We blocked over three balls a game, which is an extremely high number for us. I'm very pleased with the way our blocking and defense has come together this spring. Alli Sabol and Nerissa Moravec both had great matches hitting over .300.

"It was great to see Jordan Pingel and Kristina Fisher back on the floor in limited roles after surgery in December. We are all excited about their progress off the court. We are looking forward to the addition of our new players this summer, and very anxious to see what the future holds for us when we start to gel as a new unit."

The summer tour of Puerto Rico will be made possible through outside contributions. If you would like to donate to the fund or learn more, click here.
