ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 25 UCF women's tennis team looks to continue its winning streak this weekend, as they welcome Penn State and Memphis for a double-header Saturday at the USTA National Campus with 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. match times.
The Knights (9-2, 2-0) have won three matches in a row and continue to impress, with their highest national ranking in school history.
The Black and Gold most recently earned a 6-1 route of ETSU on Wednesday.
Maria Martinez, Natalia Serrano, and Monica Matias led the charge against the Bucs, each going 2-0 on the night.
Kicking off the double-header, UCF first welcomes Penn State (5-6, 0-1) to Orlando for a noon match. The Nittany Lions have lost back-to-back matches, including a 6-1 defeat against Memphis on Thursday.
Penn State fields a roster of four seniors, two sophomores, and four freshman.
Memphis (8-5, 0-1) has won back-to-back contests, including most recently their win over Penn State. The Tigers are also in action against USF Friday, before making the trip to the USTA National Campus for their 6 p.m. American Athletic Conference showdown with the Knights Saturday.
Hanna Sohn and Katherine Cao come in as the No. 78 ranked doubles pairings in the latest ITA/ORACLE Division I polls. The Tigers field a younger roster with two seniors, three sophomores, and four freshman.
