ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF Knights came away with two wins Tuesday afternoon at the UCF Softball Complex against the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Ball State Cardinals. The Knights took down the Hokies, 1-0 followed by a 2-1 win over the Cardinals.

Kaitlyn Jensen hit her fifth home run of the season and fourth in five days, while Cassady Brewer and Denali Schappacher piled on two hits each.

Alea White threw 10.1 innings including a shutout against Virginia Tech and 3.1 scoreless innings in the win over Ball State improving to a 10-5 record on the season.

With the pair of wins, the Knights are 13-8 heading into the USF Under Armour Invitational.

Game One
The Virginia Tech and UCF match up was a pitching duel with each team only giving up only three hits.

The Knights got on the board in the fifth inning after Aubrey Johnson led off the inning with a double to right field. Hayley Bejarano moved Johnson over to third on a ground ball and Brewer drove her in on a hard-hit ball to second base.

The Hokies would muster up a hit in the top of the seventh, but left the runner stranded and the Knights earned the win.

White pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and one walk.

Game Two
The Cardinals attacked first after Janae Hogg smacked a home run to left field to go up 1-0 in the first inning.

Their lead would last until the fourth inning when the Knights would take the lead after Jensen ripped a shot to left field. Courtney Rotton singled to left to get on base and with Jensen at the plate, blasted a homer run well over the left field fence. The two runs would be enough for the Knights to secure their second victory of the afternoon.

Kamryn Toney got the start in the circle against the Cardinals giving up four hits and one run in 3.2 innings pitched. White came in in the third and shutdown the Ball State offense to grab the win.

ON DECK
