AUGUSTA, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) – Donnie Trosper led the field after the first round of play at the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club and currently sits tied for 13th with teammate Kyler Tate each posting a score of one under par for two rounds, while UCF finished the day in 14th.
In the first round of 18, Trosper eagled the ninth hole and finished five under par to start the day with a 67. Tate was just behind Tropser shooting one over, while Tommy Cao shot two over for a 74.
Manuel Elvira and Bobby Bai rounded out the Knights' first round with a 76 and 77 respectively.
After the end of the first 18, UCF was tied for 10th with a team score of 290, just two over par.
Tate paced the Knights in the second round of 18 shooting 70, two under par, while Trosper rounded out the second round with a 76.
Cao shot a 75 and finished five over par for the day, while Elvira finished four over and Bai ended the day six over.
At the end of the day, the Knights' collected 32 birdies and one eagle.
