ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 36 UCF men's tennis team hits the road for the next few matches, beginning with a trip to Stillwater, OK Friday to take on Oklahoma State in a 6:30 p.m. match.
The Knights (9-6, 0-0) are coming off a commanding 6-1 victory over Princeton March 23 for their fifth straight win. UCF swept all six singles matches versus the Tigers for the second time on the season.
The Black and Gold are led in doubles play by the No. 7 nationally ranked duo of Korey Lovett and Eero Vasa. Lovett and Vasa are 11-2 on the year.
Alan Rubio and Mikhail Sokolovskiy each lead the Knights with nine singles wins on the year.
Oklahoma State (17-4) is a perennial power and currently sits at No. 17 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I rankings.
The Cowboys are riding a three-match winning streak, including most recently a 4-2 win over Fresno State March 28.
Oklahoma State boasts several players in the singles and doubles rankings. Julian Cash checks in at No. 68 in singles, Artur Dubinski at No. 83, and Mathieu Scaglia at No. 111. Cash and Luke Hammond sit at No. 29 in the doubles rankings.
