ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF freshman Madison Murnin has earned a spot on the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team.
"I feel so honored to be invited to represent my country with the U-18 WNT," Murnin said. "I'm excited, not only for my first trip out of the country, but also for the chance to grow as a player and a person. I would not have this opportunity without the help of my coaches and teammates."
The Jacksonville native will travel with the U-18 squad to Switzerland from March 31-April 11 for a training camp and a pair of games against the Swiss U-19 WNT.
The midfielder saw action in all 18 matches for the Knights last fall, earning her first collegiate start in the season opener at No. 4 South Carolina. She tallied two goals and an assist for five points, and earned American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors in her first season with the Black and Gold.
