ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The Knights racked up 10 hits in just four innings as they run-ruled Bethune-Cookman Tuesday night with an 8-0 victory at the UCF Softball Complex.

Kamryn Toney received the start in the circle giving up just one hit in three innings.

Four Knights recorded at least two hits with Denali Schappacher, Aubrey Johnson, Courtney Rotton, and Megan Greenwell each adding to the collection.

With their fourth win in a row, UCF improves to 22-12 on the season as they head to Houston to continue conference play.

The Knights wasted no time attacking first as they put up three runs in their first at-bats. Schappacher ignited the Knights with a bunt single followed by a single from Rotton to right field. Both baserunners were able to advance on a Wildcat miscue and the Knights quickly had runners in scoring position. Cassady Brewer singled to right field to plate Schappacher and UCF went up 1-0.

With runners on first and third, the Knights put on the double steal with Brewer taking second and Rotton stealing home to put the Knights up 2-0. UCF picked up their third run after Brooke Barlow ripped a shot up the middle to bring in Brewer.

The offense continued in the second with Greenwell reaching on a bunt single then stealing second to put herself in scoring position. Johnson singled through the left side to push Greenwell across and extended their lead to 4-0.

The rest of the Knights' runs came in the bottom of the fourth with Schappacher bringing in Greenwell on a double down the left field line to start the offense off. Two more Knights crossed the plate off a pair of bases loaded walks. Barlow sealed the deal with a hard-hit ball to the infield to plate Rotton to run-rule the Wildcats, 8-0.

The Knights pitching staff gave up just one hit in four-and-a-half innings of play with Cierra Word and Damara Begin each tossing an inning.

Greenwell finished the evening with a pair of stolen bases for 11 on the season in total.
