ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 25 UCF women's tennis team will welcome another Ivy League opponent to the USTA National Campus this week, as the Black and Gold take on Brown Tuesday for a 1 p.m. match.
The Knights (13-2, 3-0) are coming off a 5-2 win against Yale on March 22 for their seventh straight victory.
UCF set the tempo versus the Bulldogs with strong doubles play that parlayed into equally impressive singles action.
The pairs of Rebeka Stolmar and Silvia Bordes and Monica Matias and Natalia Serrano earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the opening match point.
Stolmar and Serrano were also victorious in singles action versus Yale, as well as Maria Martinez and Emilia Granstrom picking up points.
Stolmar checks in at No. 122 in the Oracle/ITA Division I singles rankings and leads the Knights with a 13-1 overall singles record this season.
Brown (7-8, 0-0) comes to Orlando after falling 6-1 to USF on March 25.
The Bears are led by seniors Alyza Benotto and Maddie Stearns. Brown fields a roster of two seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and three freshman.
