ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The Knights welcome a pair of BIG 10 opponents to the USTA National Campus this week. UCF (4-6, 0-0) will take on No. 30 Minnesota Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Indiana Friday at 6 p.m.

The Black and Gold found themselves battling to the finish in three matches this past week and continue to gain valuable big match experience. The Knights pushed Baylor, Penn State, and Virginia to the final matches, but fell 4-3 in all.

The ORACLE/ITA Division I No. 11 ranked doubles pair, Korey Lovett and Eero Vasa were 2-0 this week in helping the Knights earn doubles points versus Baylor and Virginia.

Minnesota (8-3, 1-0) comes to Orlando winners of six matches in a row, including a 4-3 win at Portland March 4 in its most recent match.

The Gophers boast three players in the national singles rankings. Stefan Milicevic comes in at No. 59, Felix Corwin, No. 88, and Matic Spec at No. 105.  Spec and Corwin also check in at No. 66 in the doubles rankings.

Indiana (8-7, 1-1) has lost back-to-back matches. The Hoosiers dropped a 4-2 match to Northwestern March 11 in their last time on the court.

Raheel Manji is the lone ranked player in the singles rankings at No. 122. Indiana has two seniors, two juniors, four sophomores and two freshman.
