GAINESVILLE (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF women's golf team competed at the SunTrust Gator Invite at the Mark Bostick Golf Course over the weekend. The Knights finished tied for ninth in the 13-team field.
UCF was led by Kaeli Jones, who finished in a tie for 24th. Jones was in second place after two rounds. She carded scores of 71 (+1) and 65 (-5) on Saturday. Jones struggled a bit on Sunday, turning in an 81 (+11) to slip down the leaderboard.
Florida won its own tournament at 840 (E). Furman (+12) and Campbell (+12) tied for second. While the Knights (+56) were tied for ninth with FIU, UCF defeated rival South Florida (+73) in the event.
