ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's tennis team welcomes the Virginia Cavaliers to the USTA National Campus Sunday for a 1 p.m. match time.
The Knights (4-5, 0-0) are looking to bounce back after two down-to-the-wire 4-3 losses this past week.
The Black and Gold battled Baylor on March 5 and Penn State on March 7 to the deciding final match, but came up just short versus the Bears and Nittany Lions.
Korey Lovett and Mikhail Sokolovskiy both went 2-0 in singles play in the two matches.
Lovett and Eero Vasa check in at No. 11 in the ORACLE/ITA Division I doubles rankings.
Alan Rubio is currently No. 124 in the singles rankings.
Virginia (6-5, 0-1) comes to Orlando after dropping its last two matches, including most recently a 4-3 loss at Illinois on March 4.
The Cavaliers are led by the No. 28 ranked singles player, Aswin Lizen and No. 74, Carl Söderlund.
