UNCASVILLE, Conn. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's basketball team heads to the 2018 Aaron's American Athletic Conference Championship as the No. 3 seed, which marks the highest finish for the Knights as members of The American.
UCF will face the winner of No. 6 Wichita State – No. 11 Temple in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Aaron's American Athletic Conference Championship. The third-seeded Knights earned a bye for the second straight year and will play at noon on March 4 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
The Knights will tip off at noon in a contest that will air on ESPN3.
One season after setting the program-best in the league in victories (9) and seed (4), the Knights improved both marks this season, with 12 wins and a third seed.
Based on the information available to the UCF Athletics Communications office, UCF received a vote in the national poll for the first time in program history on Tuesday. The Knights earned one vote in the WBCA/USA Today Top 25 after closing the regular season with a three-game win streak and a victory over a Houston squad that had picked up three votes in the Feb. 20 poll.
