Opens in a new window ITA Oracle Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its first in-season player rankings of the year, and the UCF men's tennis team placed players on the singles and doubles list.

Senior Korey Lovett and freshman Eero Vasa were tabbed 22nd in the nation. Despite playing together for just a few weeks before the season, the UCF duo has not missed a beat in four matches with a perfect 3-0 record. The No. 1 pairing for the Knights opened the year with a bang, downing the then-No. 1 ranked Florida team Johannes Ingildsen and Alfredo Perez.

Alan Rubio was the lone Knight to appear on the singles ranking, checking in at No. 77. The Hermosillo, Mexico, native started his career by knocking off No. 39 Duarte Vale from Florida. Rubio also helped the Knights sweep all six singles points against Auburn last Sunday.

The Knights will look to extend their winning streak to three on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., when they face North Florida at the USTA National Campus.
