NEW ORLEANS (UCFKnights.com) -- Kaeli Jones turned in a Top 10 finish at the Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday. The senior carded a three-round total of 219 (+3) to finish in a tie for eighth place.
As a team, the Knights slipped back to finish in 12th place in the 17-team event. Florida won the event at 9-over. The Knights were +52.
Jones opened with a red-hot 66 in the first round and followed that up with a 78 and 75. For the tournament, Jones was tied for sixth in Par 4 scoring at +2. She was tied for ninth in Par 5 scoring at -2. Jones also ranked tied for ninth in pars with 37 in 54 holes. She turned in eight birdies, which ranked her tied for 17th in the 90-player field.
