ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Riding a four-game win streak, the UCF women's basketball team returns to CFE Arena to host Memphis in an American Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday.
 
The teams will tip off at 2 p.m. in a UCF Basketball doubleheader as the UCF men will take on Houston at noon. UCF (15-7, 7-2) welcomes Memphis (7-14, 2-6) for the first meeting between the squads this season.
 
PARKING: Due to the doubleheader, parking for the women's game will be as normal starting at halftime of the men's game (approximately 1pm).  Please note that if usual parking lots are full the baseball lot will also be available for overflow parking. Click here for a parking map.
 
TICKETS: Doors will open at 1 p.m. for fans with tickets to the women's game. Fans who wish to attend the men's basketball game at noon will need to purchase a separate ticket.
 
UCF LEADERS

  • A trio of Knights average double figures, led by Zakiya Saunders with 14.1 points per game. The Augusta, Ga., native is shooting 31.6 percent from three.
  • Aliyah Gregory averages 10.7 points per contest and has 23 steals and 24 assists.  
  • Korneila Wright averages 10.3 points per game and leads the team with 2.6 steals per contest.
  • Saunders and Wright lead UCF in assists, averaging 4.1 per game each.
  • With five double-digit rebound games this season, Nyala Shuler leads the team with an average of 7.5. Shuler has 61 offensive rebounds, while Masseny Kaba leads the team with 65 offensive boards.

 
AROUND THE AMERICAN

  • The Knights are currently tied with No. 23 USF in the league standings with a 7-2 record.
  • UCF's victory over Cincinnati marked the second-most wins for the Knights since joining The American. The Black and Gold collected seven league wins by Jan. 31st for the first time since the 2004-05 season.
  • In conference games, the Knights are second in the league in scoring defense (51.0), steals (10.4) and field goal percentage defense (.349).
  • Zakiya Saunders has the top three-point field goal percentage (.478) and is tied with teammate Korneila Wright with 2.7 steals in conference games. Wright is also tied for third in the league with an average of 4.1 assists per contest.

 
SCOUTING THE TIGERS

  • Memphis brings a 7-14 overall record to Orlando, with a 2-6 mark in The American.
  • The Tigers hold a 16-10 advantage in the all-time series, and have won the last eight matchups between the squads.
  • Brea Elmore and Cheyenne Creighton average 15.4 and 15.3 points per game, respectively, to lead Memphis.
  • Creighton is also the top rebounder for the Tigers, averaging 8.1 boards per contest, and has a team-leading 11 blocks and 30 steals.
  • Elmore has made a team-high 48 three-pointers on the season, and is one of two Tigers (Taylor Barnes, 66) with 60 or more assists on the campaign.
