GAINESVILLE (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF men's golf team is in good position after two rounds at the SunTrust Gator Invitational. The Knights are tied for third place and just six strokes off the lead heading into Sunday's final round.
No. 5 Vanderbilt is 8-under, while No. 6 Florida is 7-under. The Knights and No. 25 South Florida are tied at 2-under par. UCF holds an advantage going into the third round over No. 32 North Florida, No. 27 Missouri and No. 14 Arkansas. The Knights were tied for first after one round.
Senior Juuso Kahlos leads the way for the Knights. The Finland native is 2-under after the first two rounds and tied for 10th place. Junior Manuel Elvira is tied for 19th at 1-under. Bobby Bai is even par and currently tied for 23rd. Donnie Trosper is tied for 27th at 1-over. Kyler Tate rounded out the Knights' team lineup at 4-over. Tommy Cao is representing UCF as an individual and was 6-over after two rounds.
The Knights tee off at 9:30 a.m. in Sunday's third and final round, alongside Vanderbilt and Florida.
