Right Back At It

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF volleyball team started its preparations for the 2018 season on Monday afternoon. While the opening of head coach Todd Dagenais' 11th season at the helm of the program will not open until August, the Knights began their spring weightlifting program.

Over the next few months, the Black and Gold will spend time working with assistant sports performance coach Joe Howard in the weight room, while mixing in on-court activities with individual and team practices.

UCF is coming off an appearance in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship, its first postseason tournament since 2014. Backed behind AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention Kia Bright, the Knights posted a 20-14 record with a 12-8 mark in American Athletic Conference play. Rising sophomore Kristina Fisher was named The American Offensive Player of the Week for the final two weeks of the regular season.

An announcement for the Knights' spring schedule will be posted in the coming weeks.
