ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's basketball team is coming off a dominating defensive performance at ECU, holding the Pirates to just 39 points. The Knights will now set their sights on Memphis, who comes to Orlando for a Wednesday night tilt at 7 p.m.

UCF (10-4, 1-1) has won six of its last seven games and has split a pair of road games to start league play. Memphis (9-5), meanwhile, has lost three of its last five and was blown out at Cincinnati on New Year's Even to open up action in The American.

The Knights have won their last two meetings with Memphis, winning 72-57 late in last year's regular season for just the second ever win over the Tigers. UCF then won again in the American Athletic Conference quarterfinals, eliminating Memphis with an 84-54 victory in Hartford.

Prior to that, the storied Memphis Tigers had won 11 in a row over UCF and 21 of the previous 22 games.

Senior A.J. Davis looks to continue the momentum over the Tigers, having led the Knights to big wins in his final season in Black and Gold. The forward has scored in double figures in each of his last six games, including a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win at ECU.
