ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's basketball team opens a two-game homestand on Wednesday evening, hosting Tulane in an American Athletic Conference matchup in CFE Arena.
 
The teams will tip off at 7 p.m. and the contest will stream on the American Digital Network.
 
UCF LEADERS

  • A trio of Knights average double figures, led by Zakiya Saunders and Aliyah Gregory at 13.2 and 12.2 points per game, respectively.  
  • Korneila Wright averages 10.6 points per game and leads the team with 2.6 steals per contest.
  • Saunders and Wright lead UCF in assists, averaging 4.2 and 3.6 per game, respectively.
  • With four double-digit rebounding games this season, Nyala Shuler leads UCF with 7.3 rebounds per contest. Freshman Masseny Kaba leads the team with 51 offensive rebounds this season.

 
DEFENSIVE MINDS

  • UCF is 6-0 when holding its opponent under 50 points this season.
  • The Knights are 3-0 when holding a conference opponent under 56 points in 2017-18.
  • The Black and Gold have held their opponents to single digits in 13 quarters this season.

 
SCOUTING THE GREEN WAVE

  • Tulane enters the contest with a 9-8 overall record, and a 1-3 mark in league play.
  • Wednesday is the 21st meeting between the programs. Tulane leads the series 12-8, but the Knights hold the most recent victories. UCF defeated the Green Wave twice last season, including a 61-57 win in the quarterfinals of The American tournament.
  • Kolby Morgan paces the Tulane offense, averaging 22.2 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the floor and 41.0 percent from three. Morgan also has a team-leading 26 steals on the season.
  • Harlyn Watt leads the Green Wave in rebounding, pulling down 6.3 boards per game, and has a team-high 19 blocks.
